Privacy Policy

Foamlane is a business management platform for mobile auto detailers, operated by Jonathan Fasano, a sole proprietor based in New York, USA (“Foamlane,” “we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using foamlane.app or the Foamlane mobile or web app, you agree to this policy.
Foamlane has two kinds of users:
- Detailers — small business owners who sign up for the Foamlane platform to manage their detailing business.
- Customers of detailers — people who receive SMS messages, quotes, invoices, and other communications from a detailer using Foamlane.
This policy applies to both. Where the practices differ, we say so.
1. Information we collect
From detailers (account holders)
- Account information: name, email address, password, phone number.
- Business information: business name, business address, service area, logo, brand color, tagline.
- Subscription billing information processed by Stripe. Foamlane does not store full card numbers.
- Service catalog and pricing: services offered, prices, business hours.
- Job and customer data created by you: customers, vehicles, quotes, jobs, invoices, photos, notes.
- Usage data: device type, browser, IP address, and app interaction patterns, used for security and product reliability.
From customers of detailers
- Contact information entered by the detailer: name, phone number, and optionally email address and physical address.
- Vehicle information entered by the detailer: make, model, year, color, and optionally license plate.
- Photos taken by the detailer before, during, or after the service.
- Interaction data: when you tap a link in an SMS, view a quote page, or pay an invoice, we record the event so the detailer can see the status of their work and so we can maintain the service.
- Payment information if you pay a detailer through Stripe Checkout. Foamlane never sees or stores your card details; Stripe handles this directly.
2. How we use information
- To provide the service: deliver SMS, route payments, schedule jobs, store records.
- To operate the platform: authentication, security, abuse prevention, customer support.
- To improve the product: aggregated usage analysis. We do not use individual data for advertising.
- To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information. We do not sell phone numbers. We do not share contact data with third parties for their own marketing.
3. SMS communications
Foamlane sends SMS messages on behalf of detailers using Twilio. Messages are sent only when (a) a detailer initiates a message (for example, sends a quote, invoice, or “on my way” notification), or (b) the detailer has previously added the customer to their Foamlane account on the basis of that customer’s consent to receive business communications.
By providing your phone number to a Foamlane detailer, you consent to receive automated text messages from that detailer through Foamlane regarding your service. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies based on the detailer and the job. Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any Foamlane message. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts from that detailer through Foamlane. To opt back in, contact the detailer directly or email support@foamlane.app.

Foamlane does not sell phone numbers and does not share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing. Phone number data is used solely to deliver messages on behalf of detailers and to maintain the service.
4. How we share information
- Service providers we use to operate Foamlane — including Twilio for SMS, Stripe for payments, Supabase for database and storage, and Vercel for hosting. These providers process data only as instructed by us and under their own security and privacy commitments.
- Between detailer and customer, when the detailer initiates an interaction with you. For example, when your detailer sends you a quote, the relevant information is shared between Foamlane systems and the detailer’s account.
- To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights, or address fraud or abuse.
- In a business transfer, such as a sale, merger, or acquisition, with notice to affected users where required.
5. Data storage and security
Information is stored in databases operated by Supabase in the United States. We use industry-standard practices — encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted backups, restricted access controls, and ongoing security review. No online service is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to opt out of certain uses of it. To exercise these rights, email us at support@foamlane.app. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner where required by law.
You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. You can also ask your detailer to delete your contact information from their account, which removes it from Foamlane.
7. Cookies and tracking
foamlane.app uses only the minimal technical cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not track users across other websites.
8. Children’s privacy
Foamlane is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@foamlane.app and we will delete it.
9. International data
Foamlane is operated from the United States, and information is stored on US-based servers. By using Foamlane, you consent to data being processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes, we will provide additional notice — for example, an email to detailers.
